Justin Smith is a freelance writer who resides in central Indiana with his wife, Lacy, and their two dogs, Airabella and Wilhelmina. In 2008, Justin joined the blogging community with Slag Zombie Sideshow, a place to vent and post about his exploits. Later that year, Justin began writing film criticism, which led to his role as the founding editor and head critic (from 2008-2012) of the now defunct CriticPlanet. In 2010 Justin became a writer and interviewer for FlickFeast, and in 2011 he began writing for New Empress Magazine. Also, in 2011, Justin started Our Little Parasite, a blog dedicated to the adventures of pregnancy. From the ashes of CriticPlanet, arose Justin Smith on Movies, the home for Justin’s reviews, essays, and interviews formerly found on CriticPlanet, as well as his current writings on film. When Justin isn’t writing, he enjoys reading alone, watching movies with friends, hiking with his wife, scuba diving with his dad, talking with his mom, drinking Sandeman Tawny Porto with his brother-in-law, and consuming Mr. Gatti’s pizza with anyone.
